Does any one know why when logged in as a user (kde) in Mandrake 7.0
that the themes
do not work right (the theme colors don't fill in) and why under
"styles" it is stuck
as "Windows Style". Everything seems to work fine when logged in as
root. (permissions
maybe ?)
TIA

there is no need for wine to do that.. go to ftp://ftp.freshmeat.net
go to the RPM section and take your pick of icq clones or anything else
that is of interest

Is it possible to run ICQ on Linux using WINE? If so, how..?
there is a graphical tool for kde at http://www.kde.org that easily
closes any port that you don't want available (it even suggest which)
also linuxworld.com - slashdot - linux.com all have recent advice on
security.

You need to have a "tmp" dir in your home dir, then everything is ok.

Can one download the updated KDE RPMs and use them with RedHat 6.0 or does Mandrake
put them in a
different directory, etc from RedHat 6.0?
I know Mandrake tends to be a bit more "cutting-edge." ;-)

the command should read "tar xvzf kclock-0.6.tar.gz -C /usr/share/apps"
