I doubt you could go wrong with either board. I use the Asus A7V133 with onboard sound disabled (using an el cheapo ALS4000 PCI sound card which both Mandrake 8.1 and 8.2 had no problem detecting!) The onboard Asus sound should give you no worries. HTH, -nathan On Monday 25 March 2002
