I downloaded the mandrake 8.1 ISO from one of your FTP sites. I used winimage to open the ISO and extract the contents to a empty folder. I need burned all of the contents to a CD. When I try to boot from the CD it tells me "searching for boot record" : None found I can't seem to get this

Well, you can download SB Live! drivers from www.creativehelp.com , unfortunately this did not work for me in Mandrake 7.1. However, this is how I did get it running. I installed Mandrake 7.1 normally and let it autodetect my soundcard. It worked womewhat Then I ran "sndconfig" I

I am having one heck of a time getting my 3com 3c905c-TX Fast ethernet XL card to work with Mandrake linux 7.1. It detects it when the kernal initially loads but it is not shown in HardDrake. I've downloaded linux drivers from 3com but when I try to compile them I get alot of errors,
