You can either take the entire logo off or joust leave the
info on the kernel
to do this you must edit your "/etc/issue" file
search for the part where it say linuxlogo (or is it linux_logo? cant quite
remember) and change the options
fore the options you can check the man page on linuxlogo

but
/etc/rc.d/rc.local
and btw it the program (and the man pages for it) is called linux_logo; not
linuxlogo like i posted earlier
