I have managed to get an internet connection to work perfectly using the
GNOME ppp dialler, however this is only under root, under any other user the
pppd daemon dies unexpectedly. This is probably something very basic.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank in advance.

Ok this is getting strange now, I found that the ES1370module was loaded &
that I can play sound fine (through th OOS - I think), however doing "cat
/dev/sndstat" stated that no such device exists & doing an insmaod of sound
gives the following error:
/lib/modules/2.2.9-27mdk/misc/sound.o: unreso
owever my sound card under Windows anyhow uses irq 5, is there any way to
specify this?
Could anyone give me step-by-step instructions on how to get sound working
for the es1370 device?
