I did that same thing on a 6.0 installif you're on a network you're home free. I telnetted to the Mandrake box, Su'ed to root then edited the XF86Config file remotely. Of course in my case I knew exactly what I had changed to make it unbootable so it was easy. If you don't know what to change

You should probably do more than 'glance' at the how-to files for Samba. Most *nix apps require more effort than that. Having said that, there is a great book out called 'Teach Yourself Samba in 24 Hours'. I Have it and its a good read. Samba comes with several quite detailed sample smb.conf files

What exactly is 'customized' about the Apache software configuration for Mandrake 6.1? I want to add support for php3 and FP2000 extensions. Are either of these features already in and if not, can I just recompile each from source and build it myself like I did for FreeBSD. Thanks.
