[newbie] is it rebooting or what?

Hello, When I xlock my Mandrake 9.0 box and walk away for more than an hour, when I come back I am logged off the machine. What is causing this? I've had SuSE 7.2-8.0 and Red Hat 7.0 - 8.0 installed on this machine (in my efforts to learn more about Linux) and this has never happened before.

[newbie] Cannot find Samba (much less make it work)

Hello All, Tru Newbie here so please, explain it to me like I'm a 4 year old. I cannot find samba and it is aparently not running. I am running Mandrake 9.0 on a PIII 500Mhz with 256 MB RAM. I know my Network is up because if it weren't I couldnt send this mail. I downloaded and installed
