[newbie] Install problem with Mandrake 7.1

Hello, Just installed 7.1 on dual boot 2 hard drive system. I am getting the following message after the reboot: Stage 1 Hard Disk Error. Any suggestions? Tim

is? Last but not least if I skip checking for pcmcia cards it goes a little farther before I get " No available partition" even though I used fdisk and format. How can I fix this problem? Much thanks for any help given. Tim Schmidt
