I've
recently installed MDK 7.2 on my box (went for the newbie install version, to
see what all it does), and tried to telnet into it, no dice, its not listening
to the telnet session. I read some FAQs, did what they said (specifically
setting up services) and its still not worki
o that machine (bind it to the NIC,
in this case eth0:0), what I don't understand is how do I get it
such that if I login to the machine with my username 'Cloak' for
instance, will it understand that its 207.188.100.99 (public IP)
and not the machine IP itself.

My friend and I are trying to telnet into my machine, but he's behind a
firewall that doesn't let anything but web traffic out (port 80). How can we
setup my machine to listen for a telnet session on port 80 so he can get in?
