Hi again,
I managed to fix this point, it was very easy!
I setuid for root and changed the rights on the /dev/ttS1 -> /dev/modem
and that's it
Thanks anyhow

Hi,
I want to run gnome-ppp as user, but I get an error log saying that I
must be root since pppd is not setuid-root
pppd is set -rwxr-xr-x, root root
my uid is 501
How should I set the rights and whar should I change?
Thanks
Otto
