My Hard drive partition as following:
mount bootable flag dev fs type
------------------------------------------------------
/ * hda1 linux native
hda2 linux swap
/home hda3 linux native
I set bootable flag on first partition which contain first sector and MBR,
but still can't boot from hard drive.
You'll need to set the bootable flag on atleast one partition
