alrighty... what flavor of linux are you running? i know that it does like
the swap, root, and home though. im running mandrake 8.1 and its pretty cool
like that with the graphical install... it has autoalicate. :)

we have had this problem too with mandrake 8.1.
there are tow commands... try this one first.
logon as root and at the command type:
depmod-a
then theres: int3
