Bits per pixel, a.k.a. color depth. I had to set that for the printer.

The one last thing I could recommend is heading to the Ghostscript site
and reading up on some of the configuration parameters that are
available for use with the printer driver that you're using. It's
certainly not the greatest suggestion, since it'll mean digging into
ghostscript files
