I know I have seen this posted before, so I went back to the archive to
see if I could find what the answer was, but despite being posted twice,
nobody posted an answer. So I'll re-ask and hope somebody who knows whats
up can answer...

On reboot, many files in the /dev heirarchy change permissions back to
600, including /dev/dsp and /dev/audio. They can be changed back, but it
is annoying to do this. I suppose maybe I could try adding something to
reset this to 666 to the end of my rc.local, but I was looking to find out
why this happens.

So?

Later,
 David
