1. I have Win98 SE installed on one hard drive and Mandrake Linux 8.2 on another. I had Lilo configured and was able to boot into Linux with no problem. The problem is that when I rebooted and tried to go into Win98, all I got was a black screen with the message "Windows loading". Windows never did load. I checked the settings in Lilo and was told by the guy from whom I bought the CD's from that my settings were correct. As a result the only way I can boot into Linux is with a boot disk. Otherwise the computer boots into Windows.
2. I downloaded and installed QCad. I have tried unsuccesfully to link the executable file from the KDE desktop. Each time I try access the program from the desktop icon, I get a blank QCad screen with no tool bars and I can't close the screen and have to reboot. The program boots ok from the terminal but I would prefer to be able to access it with an icon on the desktop. 3. Each time I boot into Linux, I get the KDE desktop but the Root Console - Konsole opens also. Is there a way to configure the desktop to just open without anything else opening? Tom Beno
