Are you using KDE? I have had this happen to me in the past. I have no
idea why, but after enough X session kills it starts doing exactly what
you are describing. Please let me know if you find a fix.

I just installed 4.01 out of the cooker, and it's working well, after
some minor problems with a corrupt rpm file. The only thing I noticed
