i think i have messed up something, 'cause i use to not have this problem, and i
suspect a reinstall might fix, but let me see if anyone has a suggestion or such.
here is the deal.

start up XCDRoast
set up everything to burn a CD
start burning.
green light on CD burner turns red
XCDRoast generates an output and gets to the message
"starting new track at sector zero"
or something close to that in case i got the exact wording wrong.
then the light on CD burner turns back to green,
and that's it. nothing more. it just sits there.
light stays green, XCDRoast shows no progress.
i pretty much have to shut down and start over to get everything back up and running.

if it makes it past this point, the next step is where it creats the FIFO (and no, i
don't have a clue what that is) but if it gets this far, then it cooks with no problem.

as i said, it didn't do this before. now i'm making coasters out of about 50% of my
CDs. also, i have tried a dummy write, it worked perfect. didn't change a thing,
simply unselected the dummy write option, and it crashed.

any suggestions? anyone seen this before?
thanks much
