Okay, I've been burning CD's fine for a while but recently it hasn't been
working and I can't figure out why.  When I use the proper cdrecord
command, I hear what sounds like my CDR drive beginning to spin, then
stopping, several times, then cdrecord quits with some output I can't
interpret.

I'm using an ATAPI Mitsumi CR-2801TE CDR drive in SCSI-emulation, and
Mandrake 7.0.  I've always been able to burn CD's fine with it, but I
started getting this problem after compiling a kernel with SCSI support
build in (instead of modularized).  But now I'm using the stock kernel in
7.0 and it still isn't working.

Any help, even just explaining what kind of problem is indicated by the
error output from cdrecord, would be greatly appreciated.
