Hi People, I have 2 servers running mandrake 8.2 and am experiencing the following problem.
My ip address that I am coming from is a static ip froma different range of that the server is on. Whenever I try to connect to the server via any method I cannont get access to it. However if I connect to the server from an ip address within the same range as the server I get access. I have checked through my hosts.deny - nothing in there. All the log files seem to show no reason for this. The border router is allowing the traffic through to the server, so its not the firewall on that. I don't have a firewall running on the server in question. What could be the cause of this and how can I correct it so I can get access to the server from this other ip range again? Cheers, Shannon
