I have a Dell PC with a PII-333 processor, 384MB RAM, an on-board ATI Rage 3D video card and two 10GB hard drives. Windows 2000 Pro is installed on a partition on the first hard drive and I'm trying to install Mandrake 8.1 on the second hard drive. I chose the auto allocate fuction in the partition section during install.
Everything goes fine until it tries to configure X when the following message pops up. Can't call method "set_active" on an undefined value. There is an OK button available to click on, but no matter how many times I click the OK button, the screen cycles back to this same message. My only option at this point is to manually re-boot the machine. After re-boot, the machine starts in console mode. When I try to startx it won't start. Please help. I'm new.
