[newbie] Getting rid of KDE

Hi, How do I switch out of KDE and into something like FVWM2? I tried to avoid installing any KDE but some app needed it and I couldn't find the app in the list of software to be installed so went ahead and told it to "resolve the dependencies" which resulted in KDE being installed. I remember
