There are a couple NON-WinModem PCI modems, as well as a couple
LIN-Modems (Linux-only software modems.)

Hello,
I have a couple of questions relating to sound and modems
I installed an ESS1868 sound card and got it working ok in KDE. When I'm in
gnome enlightenment I can play music CD's but none of the system sound
effects play. Is this a problem with gnome? In KDE everything works fine.
