Sorry about this but I've looked every where but can't seem to find an answer to my
most basic question...
I just downloaded Staroffice. Now what? How do I get that Tar file to install?
Please explain this to me (while considering my
knowledge to be no more than a highly intoxicated chimp).
Either from a console display, or from the KDE konsole window available in
the panel, enter the following commands (logged on as a user - not su):
cd [path to file]
{should be something like /home/your personal folder/folder containing
the tar file for StarOffice}
you need to be logged
