Hi all, I see a couple of posts on modem problems... Here I also have a problem/problems with my modem. I have WinNT and mandrake6.5 installed on my notebook. I set modem device /dev/ttyS2 (since it uses com3 in WinNT), but when I try to query modem, I get a message saying "Sorry, the modem is busy". But for some reason when I set modem device /dev/ttyS1 and query modem, I get a reply "modem is ready" and Modem Query Results pops up (and it's a blank result). Then I try to connect, it hangs at "initializing Modem..." My modem is Xircom, RealPrt Ethernet 10/100+Modem56. I know this modem should work because I use to have RH linux 6.1 and it was working fine (till I switched over to Mandrake 6.5). If anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate!
