Hi,

Can anyone help me with this problem.

I use Linux all the time now having no need to boot into my windows partition.
I have also been ebcouraging my girlfriend (though I think she would use the
term "pestering") to make the switch but because she is Japanese she prefers
the fact that in windows xp she can input japanese characters in her
applications.

Is there anyway that this can be done in Linux. I can get it to display
Japanese letters in the applications but some still show in english (desktop
icons, application titles and some menu items). I did install the Japanese
character sets and I beleave a program that allows the user to enter
Japanese in KWord but I cann't get it to work proper.

Basically what she would like is when she logs in to her user account it is
for all intents and purposes a Japanese computer.

Please help me convert another to the delights of Linux

AH SO!!!!! :)
