The news section on the kvirc site (http://www.kvirc.bz.nu/ -new url) states that KDE2 support is a compile time option so if you want that later it's better to d/l the tarball now. Bill Fran Parker wrote: Actually I am running it in the original KDE that came with Mandrake 7.0 (Air)

Hi folks, I just want to say a Big thankyou to everyone who has helped me. I gave up using wine, and d/loaded kvirc 2.0.0. I ran the ./configure and it told me I needed to update my QT, which I did. I got and installed 2.2.1. took a long time to make. I looked at

Actually, I just tried installing KVirc 2.0.0 from the KVirc official site and it core dumped immediately under Mandrake 7.1. Perhaps I should look at the Extension CD, but it looks like MandrakeSoft may have left KVirc in the dust. In fact, I haven't seen anything but console IRC clients on

Actually I am running it in the original KDE that came with Mandrake 7.0 (Air) version 1.1.2-30mdk...I only had to update QT2 to QT2.1.1 and use the tar.gz instead of the RPM. It integrates differently with KDE 2.0 but I can't say how. (But that is basically what the web site said) Hope that
