Hello, You might like to try KolourPaint, a really good paint program for KDE. You can download Mandrake 9.2 packages at kolourpaint.sf.net.
The pages list all the features, so I won't go over them all here. I just want to highlight some of the novel and useful features in KolourPaint: - Colour Eraser - Colour Similarility - Transparency. You can do it on selections, even use it as a colour, plus on text! (Use an opaque background and transparent text.) - Selections that you can undo and redo - rectangular, freeform as well as elliptical/circular. - Shape centring! You can now draw a circle/rectangle with the centre where your mouse pointer is by holding Ctrl. - Autocrop As I've noted before, there's a lot of other features. The development team has obviously done some excellent requirements engineering - even the eraser sizes are well thought out. Of course, I do have to admit I have a small vested interest in KolourPaint - so don't take my word for it, download it and try it out! By the way, this is an "exclusive" announcement. The official one hasn't come out yet! Software this good only gets released once every 28 years. Regards, _nasturtium P.S. There's 2 "easter eggs" in KolourPaint. Try and find them! (they're in the main window).
