Linux loaded fine, recognized a generic 3 button ps/2 mouse when actually run

I had the same problem ( I have a laptop ) The cure was to remove the modem
during boot up... Dont know if

the mouse anytime with the command "mouseconfig"what kind of mouse are you
using...if it's 3 button mouse don't activate the "emulate 3 buttons"
