q: Are they a pain to set up?
a: nope not the slightest
The technology isn't too hard, but your cable company might be. If they are
anything like
super easy to set up using an ethernet card. It my first experience with any
kind of networking and it was fairly foolproof given enough setup information
from your ISP. I'm using one now to connect my home network to the net and
run a web server and ftp server etc etc

basicly, your on a really big i guess wan, so you whould set it up using
network, there are externel cable modems that hook up thro a NIC, and from
what i have heard there really pretty easy to set up.
