[newbie] Netscape takes an eternity

why does Netscape take more than 5 minutes to startup? It says Reading file.. Is there some file I have to purge or something?

1)Netscape in and of itself takes longer to open than one would normally expect from an application. I would guess it is in some part due to how bloated the program has become. I finally gave up on Netscape for this very reason and began using Opera, which opens almost instantly. 2)Some of the
