My box is running Mandrake 7.0 & all is well except, for my RPMs When I try to install an RPM, the message says can not find /var/lib/rpm/packages.rpm I look in /var & see lib as a Block Device, & I can't seem to get around it. The lib, as this Block Device won't allow me to delete or add to it's path, the rest of the of the path. I've read what I can on Block Devices & I'm still not understanding something. There are a couple of programs I'd like to install, hope someone can come to my rescue. TIA Jack
