Since Sun bought StarOffice, I've tried their *updated* versions only to
find the annoyance of having to create user accounts, etc. just
KDE comes with kpilot which is sync software for linux

Yup, called "Kpilot", haven't tried it though since I don't have a palm
pilot :(

I've had better luck with JPilot, for what it's worth. But they both
will do the job. Supposedly JPilot can handle USB if you have one of
the newer kernels, but I've not tried it with my Visor. Not sure about
KPilot. I'll wait for Mandrake to release it all nice-and-pretty-like,
