try:
postalias /etc/postfix/aliases
I thought just using: newaliases (sans quotes) did the same thing..
but I know that postalias works fine.
I have no idea why its looking in mailman for the alias file though..
check in /etc/postfix/main.cf for alias_maps and/or alias_database
and see
