Hi again people, I was tinkering (logged on as user Paul) in KDE and the result is this......when I rightclick on the desktop and select the New option, I only have the Folder icon.......ive lost the device, application etc icons.This only happens when logged on in my name..........Logged on as root or other users gives me the full list of options under the New submenu. What do I have to do to get those options back? Thanks to all in advance. Paul
