The Duron has 64K of L2 cache instead of 256K. Same 128K L1 cache. All
Durons are made at the aluminum-interconnect Austin fab, whereas most (but
not all) Athlons are made at the copper-interconnect Dresden, Germany fab.
The new Morgan-core Durons will be made in Dresden too.
Anyhow, sub-GHz Athlons haven't been made in months, they're still in stores
because most people want the high-end Athlons. The store is probably out of
the slow Athlons. Returning it for a 1.2GHz/266MHz FSB Athlon, given the
first-rate motherboard you have (and PC133 RAM?), makes a *lot* of sense,
but it's your call.
