Is your lpd daemon running? Is it set up to start in your setup? Whether or not it is, try typing "lpc restart all"--you may have to do this as root depending on your setup. I hope this helps. I had a printing nightmare too, and still have to keep restarting the lpd daemon over and over when I am not root. Just a suggestion from a newbie with an Epson 660... Karen
