[newbie] Readline problems

I am trying to compile ntop on my Mandrake 7.1 machine. I get the error that readline/history.h not such file or directory. The file does not exist anywhere on my drive. I have installed the rpm of readline that came on the 7.1 iso. I can read the man page for readline but the actual file does
