[newbie] Red Hat in or out of the Desktop biz?

I coulda sworn I was just reading a few weeks ago that Red Hat said they were not giving any support to Linux on the desktop... But now this? If Matthew Szulik is to be believed, the first thing we will see when we start up our computers in the morning will no longer be Micro- soft's familiar
