Anyone have any experience with configuring net connections on linux-mandrake?
I have a D-Link DFE-530 TX pci nic card that is a 10/100 card i also have a usb 3com
10 nic that doesnt work in linux. I have the d-link configured in linux. I am using
gnome as my main desktop. I have everything for the net configured but...... I enable
dhcp and it looks for it on the installation disks and then quits. Can I download DHCP
from the net *the packages* so I can configure them in linux? Of course, one of the
main reasons to have linux is to have access to the web with it. It's bugging the hell
out of me. I have linux mandrake 7.2 . and linux-conf. I can use for configuring.
Anyone that helps me out would get a big thanks. Also, I have my nic on eth 0 in linux
and all I configured is the domain name which is something.com (I have that
configured right) and I selected E0 and DHCP and no my isp doesnt use pppoe. But I
dont and on my sdsl modem the ethernet light is on so I know its ge!
tting a connection its just linux that can't "read" that connection. I really need to
get DHCP configured

Yes I am dual booting with windows. I have 3 partitions. WELL four. One for my mp3's.
One for windows. One for the linux swap file and one for the linux native file.
