Hi there, I am wondering about using a scanner with Linux. I am using LM 7.0 and someone told me to use the utility called SANE. First off, it is on my SCSI chain (after my zip drive, which IS recognized by Linux). The scanner is one listed in the official list by LM. The ID number is set as 1, my system recognizes something at ID #1, but it doesn't say what it is. This is what it says. Host: scsi 0 Channel: 00 Id:01 Lun: 00 Vendor: Model: $ > Type: Sequential-Access Then it lists my Zipdrive and my CDRW with no problems...
