Hell All!

Well, I've installed the 8.0 on my laptop over a week ago, and I've been
playing around with it. Its awesome! I love the eye-candy on startup.
Everything works together so seamlessly.

My problem is with the sound card. The installer correctly recognizes the
sound card as a "NeoMagic MagicMedia256AV Audio". However, I am not getting
any sound out of it.

All of the docs I can find either reference the /user/sbin/sound-config or
/user/sbin/lothar-soundconfig, I assume on this version I should be using
harddrake. Harddrake recognizes the soundcard but then tells me when I run
the configuration tool that 'modprobe: can't locate module sound-slot 0'.
Help!

Where should I begin troubleshooting? I looked in linux-laptops, but
according to the page this sound card should be supported and work out of
the box.

thanks a bunch. you guys are great!
