[newbie] System crashing need advice to find the problem

Up until thursday night my linux box had been working perfectly now it keeps freezing up when i leave it on overnight. Now initially i thought it my be a cron job that was crashing it as it seemed to happen at similar times. From the cron logs the last entry was 3am everynight. So i tried
