I tried to Tar to dat from a smbmount and use the following,
tar cvf /dev/nst0 *.*
It stopped after about 400mb
Tried it again and it did the same, so i tar'd to the hd such as
tar cvf /usr/Cad12/tartest *.*
and it did the same thing, stopped at about 400mb.
It tar'd one folder and the loose

*.* is a MS pattern. The corrosponding Unix pattern is *
I guess that tar backed-up everything with a dot in it?
