[newbie] Travan TR-4 Tape Drive and Linux - Info on install requested.

Has anyone of you had any experience in getting a TR-4 Travan tape drive to work?  
I've got the Exabyte Tr-4i tape drive.  It
connects via IDE.  I'm trying to install it and get it to work on Mandrake 6.1.
