I'm fairly inexperienced regarding networking, but wanted to try the ltsp. My would-be server is running Mandrake 9.0 and has an Internet connection on eth0 with a fixed ip and I've tried setting up eth1 with 192.168.0.1 which seems fine so far, according to ifconfig. -- eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:80:AD:77:23:1D inet addr:192.168.0.1 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:6375 overruns:0 frame:12750 TX packets:0 errors:53 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:100 RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:16254 (15.8 Kb) Interrupt:5 Base address:0x300 --
I've installed the core and kernel packages for the project and set up dhcpd.conf When I start dhcpd I get these messages. Is it a faulty nic or is it not properly configured somehow? It's an old isa nic.
