I am trying to install vmware on my mandrake box when i do the configure
it comes up and say's im useing the wrong kernel? i'm useing the
2.2.9-27mdksmp
kernel i have duel 350 p2's. do i need to just rename my kernel to
2.2.9-27?
i think the mdksmp on the end is messing it up?

I followed the instructions of setting up a raw disk system at vmware's
site. However, after loading the config file and when i tried to power
on the virtual machine, VMWARE's window just suddenly disappears and it
seems that it shuts its self off. So does anyone know what is wrong?
