Hi Skye, Check out the Linux on Laptops page at: http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/kharker/linux-laptop/ I have counted 11 links to successful install of Linux (not necessary Mandrake though) on the Picturebook. Try to click out some of these pages and see whether you can find any clues. I think you have to customize the xconfig files to make it work.
