[newbie] automatic start of process

Does anyone know how I can have my Mandrake 7.0 box start a process automatically? I'm running Squid and would like squid to start when the machine boots. Thanks, Craig

You can add your commands in the /etc/rc.d/rc.local file. This script i executed at the end of the boot process. Or you can see if it is the services proposed by the "setup" program. You could also see if there is a way to include its starting/stopping in the runlevels with tksysv. HTH Flupke
