specs: amd 1333, asus a7a266, alimagik 1, ML 8.0 Whenever I'm in console mode, I frequently get this annoying message: probable hardware bug: clock timer configuration lost - probably a via 686a motherboard.
On this mailing list I read that the only way to deal with the problem is to somehow disable the error message to be logged, because it is a winbond bug and we can't do anything about it. So my questions are these: 1) Is it true that we can't do anything about it? 2) How can I disable this error message to be logged? Thanks to all!
