[newbie] kernel upgrade without rebooting?

I just upgraded to kernel 2.2.13-22 from -7 and wondered if there's any way to switch to the new kernel without rebooting. I don't figure there is but I've got 22 days of uptime under my belt and had been hoping to keep it up as long as possible :) DvB
